Gilbert Leslie started in the insurance business in 1981 as a cashier with Crown Life Insurance and quickly learned the ins and outs of premium collections, policy-service, commission processing, and brokerage services. Obtaining his life and disability license in 1987, Gilbert went on to complete a sales training program and obtained his Life Underwriter’s Training Counsel Fellowship (LUTCF) designation.
Gilbert’s association with GBS began in 1991 as a marketing representative for the Los Angeles Agency where he familiarized himself with brokerage distribution. He became the presiding general agent in 1998 where he was responsible for overseeing agent/broker relationships and business transactions while managing an office staff of eight employees. After his 20 year association with The Los Angeles Agency, Gilbert brought all the relationships he had acquired and joined GBS in 2001.
As an employee of GBS, Gilbert has grown his marketing region every year and continues to educate himself and his agents in the advanced marketing of products and solutions for the brokerage community. He has extensive experience in business succession planning, estate and wealth preservation, and executive benefit programs.
